Traditional upholstery is best for antique pieces. Antique chairs and sofas come in all shapes and sizes but no matter the condition we will help restore your piece to its former glory… or even better! First we’ll remove the old cover to see what we’re working with. We’ll repair the frame of your antique, if needed, to ensure its stable and comfortable.

Not only do we use more traditional methods of upholstery, tacks instead of staples for example, we use traditional materials throughout. These materials; hessian, horse hair and cotton felt, have stood the test of time. They provide a compact yet comfortable seat and can be combined with feathers and down or a softer feel on sofas.

Deciding on new fabric for an antique can sometimes seem daunting but we’ll send you samples that meet your requirements to make the whole process easy. Don’t be fooled into thinking you have to have more of the same. You can be as bold and courageous as you like with your fabric choice. Reinventing the piece completely is the fun part!
