Chesterfield sofas are an instantly recognisable shape from the mid-eighteenth century. The scroll arm shape and deep buttons were first commissioned by the Fourth Earl of Chesterfield. It’s become a modern icon!
Chesterfield upholstery still leaves a lot of room for design and modernisation. We’ll advise as to whether traditional upholstery or modern materials are best for your frame and budget.
Don’t worry if your frame isn’t in the best shape, we will repair it before we start to build your new shape.
Then for the fun part, fabric choices! This classic shape can pull off bold and vibrant colours as well as muted patterns. We can also upholster your Chesterfield in leather and have a wide variety of colours and textures available.
We’ll chat to you about your design and whether you’d like to add studs, trim and buttons to ensure your finished piece is a totally bespoke Chesterfield. And we can also make bespoke scatter cushions to complement a reupholstered Chesterfield.
